Affirming the Future Tulsa Links Host Empowering Collage Art Activity for Youth

Creative Expression Meets Confidence Building at John Hope Franklin Elementary

On Friday, May 9, students at John Hope Franklin Elementary School participated in an uplifting Affirmation Collage Art Activity made possible through a meaningful collaboration between The Arts Facet and Services to Youth of the Tulsa, OK, Chapter of The Links Incorporated. This intentional experience invited students to identify personal power words and create empowering “I am” and “I can” affirmations that celebrate self-worth and confidence.

Armed with stickers, magazines, and vibrant materials, each student designed a one-of-a-kind collage reflecting their inner strengths, goals, and aspirations. The final creations served not only as works of art but as tangible reminders of personal power and potential. This dynamic event fused creativity with emotional wellness, sparking joy, self-reflection, and pride in every young participant. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated members who continue to invest in the hearts and futures of Tulsa’s youth.
